Abstract The purpose of this study is to examine the development of entrepreneurial competences among Latvian students in mathematics and in the science subjects, as well as to indicate how recent graduates have evaluated their knowledge and skill s in the various fields of endeavour at university. Abstract The purpose of the study is to clarify the concepts of social entrepreneur and to identify Latvia's social entrepreneurs in the context of entrepreneurship based on a review of scientific literature, a survey of social entrepreneurs and expert interviews.
